S.P.A.L. an acronym for Societa Polisportiva Ars et Labor, is a professional Italian football club, based in Ferrara, Emilia Romagna. The team plays in Serie A, the highest level of the Italian football league system.<\/P>
Founded in 1907, since 1928 they have played their home matches at Stadio Paolo Mazza, named after Paolo Mazza (chairman of the club 1946–1977).<\/P>
In total, SPAL have attended to 23 top-tier, 25 second-tier, 41 third-tier, 7 fourth-tier and 1 fifth-tier league seasons. The club's best ranking was when they finished fifth in the 1959–60 Serie A, they have also reached the 1961–62 Coppa Italia final.<\/P>

National team
Called up by Italy for the first time after the 2002 FIFA World Cup, Oddo is a rising star of the national team, where he brings width and skill to the right-hand side.
UEFA EURO 2004? qualifying
Oddo was involved in seven of Italy's games as they won Group 9, although on three occasions he was a spectator from the bench. Played his only 90 minutes in the Azzurri's final outing, a 4-0 defeat of Azerbaijan.
Club
Oddo began his career with AC Milan but struggled to win a first-team place at the San Siro and, after failing to make a single senior appearance in two seasons, he was farmed out on loan to a succession of lower division sides, including Calcio Monza and SSC Napoli.
2000: Oddo finally decided his future lay away from Milan and signed for Hellas-Verona FC at the start of the 2000\/01 season. His attacking prowess and aggressive style paid off spectacularly in Verona, as he scored ten goals in 64 games during two seasons with the club. After helping the club avoid relegation in his first season, however, they were demoted in his second.
2002: Oddo signed for Lazio in summer 2002, but was unable to reproduce his best form in his first campaign in Rome.
2003\/04: Played in 31 of Lazio's 34 games as they finished a disappointing sixth. They made up for that and a premature exit from the Champions League by winning the Coppa Italia, Oddo's first honour.
